A lot of names, not a lot of obviously distinctive achievements in this workmanlike grouping. I am going to have to give the nod to the Japanese fellow with two names, in honor of the outstanding hospitality we were shown in his home prefecture on our visit to Japan. Yokohama, Kanagawa, Yokosuka, and the little coastal town where we stayed had plenty of real treasures; the area bears a similar relation to Tokyo proper as the state of New Jersey does to the city of New York. But with neon lights and on steroids, and capped off with a giant Buddha in place of the Statue of Liberty.
