A heavy duty chestbump to C. Ernst Harth, who made his name in roles for the grotesquely overweight, yet who managed to lose 250 pounds over the course of the last decade. Assuming he’s kept the pounds off, that’s plenty of cause for a mirthful fortieth.

I’d also like to offer my own special thanks to Nicole LaLoggia, who has had a hand in a number of films, but who appears most frequently in her IMDb profile not as an actor, not as a stage hand, but as one who is specially thanked. Hmmm. Makes a guy wonder why.

And you have to like the fact that Jonathan Ross is credited as driver, translator, and third assistant director on the same picture.

But the indubitable champion for today is Jennifer Westfeldt. Never mind that she wrote and played the title role in Kissing Jessica Stein. Never mind that she’s a fellow Eli, and genealogically aligned with Swedish nobility. For shacking up with everybody’s favorite basic cable heartthrob, Jon Hamm, for the past decade, she makes a strong case for herself as Queen of All White Ladies. Stay happy, stay proud, stay together you two.
