I’d like to hire a medium to read out the tarot for today’s cohort. I suspect that a great deal of garbled spiritual dislocation would be thereby revealed. Here we have an English Canadian, a German Spaniard, a Norwegian Englishwoman, and an actor who is also a Sony Pictures technical development VP. Not to mention twins, whose only credit is a 1983 kids’ movie starring John Huston and PelĂ©, a film which is listed on the IMDb twice, credited to two different directors.

Most emblematically, there’s Today’s Winner, Isabel Gillies. She quit a decent-sized supporting role on “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit” to go live the life of an academic wife in Oberlin, Ohio. So what did her husband go and do…? To find out, you’ll have to read her memoir. Not sure this qualifies as a victorious act, but published authors have been a little hard to come by on this list so far. So, more power to you, Isabel.
