A friend and I were just last week talking about Time Bandits, and the profound effect that movie had on our boyhood imaginations. (The subject arose in the context of how much I had liked The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, and how I thought it ranked right up there with the Good Terry Gilliam Movies, a sublime category that includes four or five films only, depending on who’s judging.)

The IMDb tells us that a ten-year-old Warwick Davis’ first credit was as an extra on that picture. He rapidly rose from there to carve out a phenomenal career for himself. I’m a little short on time today, but it’s very much worth checking out the career stats on Today’s Winner. This makes the second day in a row I’m honoring an actor whose signature role was as a title character.
